2016 Ford Endeavour spy shot reveals interiors

Ford Endeavour is up for revamp and is spied in China recently. Its the first time interiors of 2016 Endeavour is brought to light. Ford launched the SUV in India back in 2006, and never gave it an extensive upgrade yet. Now that Ford has announced its plan to launch 3 new cars next year (2015), including Endeavour in that list, we may assume that the spy shot reveals what we might see in the new Endeavour.

2016-Ford-Endeavour-interior-spyshotFrom the hazy image above, we can learn that the interiors are very different from the current model’s. New steering wheel with muscular spokes bearing audio controls and buttons for other functional features are seen in the spied Ford Endeavour.

2014-Ford-Endeavour-05Overall dashboard design is different. Centre console gets a new layout for In-Car Entertainment system and air conditioner controls. AC vents bracketing the music system looks similar to the ones in current Endeavour. But the vertically oriented rectangular vents on the sides of spied Endeavour replaces the circular outlets in the present model.

2014-Ford-Endeavour-interior-01Centre tunnel design is also different, it carries utility pockets and cup holder. The spy shot shows automatic transmission gear rod. Two tone black and beige colour scheme however is similar to the existing Endeavour.

2014-Ford-Endeavour-interior-02Also known as Ford Everest in other markets, Endeavour is one of few SUVs present to threaten the segment leading Toyota Fortuner here. It is available in three variants, 2.5 litre 4×2 MT, 3.0 litre 4×2 AT and 3.0 litre 4×4 AT.

Ford-Everest-Concept-02The 2.5 litre diesel engine pushes out 143 PS of max. power at 3,500 rpm and 330 Nm of peak torque at 1,800 rpm. The 3.0 litre diesel engine also comes with VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) and produces 156 PS of max. power at 3,200 rpm and 380 Nm of peak torque at 2,500 rpm.

Expect the same engines and interiors in the new Ford Endeavour replacement, expected to be launched during mid 2015.
