The cart which the kids will get is the CK-01 prototype, which was on display at the Auto Sport International, held earlier this month at Birmingham, NEC. This championship is open for novices only and will target enthusiasts in the age group from 13 to 16 years.

The entire season package is priced at £4,995 (INR 4.22 lakhs), which includes a race ready CK-01 go-kart, a paddock trolley, entry top the six week season and guidance with the acquisition of an ARKS game license. Technical support will also be provided to these participants. The championship will be similar to other race events and will include qualifying stages, practice sessions and main race events to keep young drivers enthusiastic and competitive throughout the duration of this event. Admission will be on a first come first served basis for 120 seats up for grabs.

Caterham Group CEO, Tony Fernandes, said: “Caterham Karting will once again make this fantastic sport accessible to everyone, without losing any element of the competition and experience. In fact, with tight regulations and totally transparent, controlled costs, Caterham Karting will simply be the best value, most competitive and most fun karting in the world. This is not just another new karting championship, this is a revolution in motor racing. Motorsport for all is finally here.”
