BMW XS Concept: Mix of retro and modern design (Photos)

‘Necessity is the mother of all inventions,’ and it’s always refreshing to get a look and designs created by independent designers and artists. Though these designs are off tangent from those pursued by the carmaker it helps to provide a new taste for customers all over the world. Innovative designs have been at the forefront of car design and it’s these representations that attract the public to buy such cars.

The BMW XS concept has been designed by George Manolache, a self taught2D/3D artist and graphic designer from Romania. The representations by Manolache are a cross between the past models of BMW along with modern influences which can be seen in the sleek lines and streamlined body. This design is basically for a hydrogen powered luxury car that has a front end which is bulky and similar to the BMW 501 and 502 sedan models.

The rest of this concept car has been designed keeping in mind a contemporary touch, which is evident from the two- toned interiors and minimalistic yet elaborate exterior design.
