General Motors India begun production of Chevrolet Enjoy MPV at their plant in Halol, Gujarat last month. At the start of the production, P. Balendran, VP, GM India, said that it was a trial run under which only 40 units of Enjoy MPV’s will be produced on a daily basis. Mass production will commence once they launch Enjoy in the Indian auto industry by December. The trial production of Enjoy MPV is going as expected and the plant is producing both, petrol and diesel variants of Enjoy, which will compete with Maruti Ertiga, and Nissan Evalia, once launched.

General Motors’ new Chevrolet Sail U-VA is set for a launch this week and will be seen with enhanced interiors and more exciting exteriors than its earlier model. Apart from the new Sail U-VA and Enjoy, GM India launched facelifted Chevrolet Spark last week. The new Spark will be available in a choice of 6 colors : Caviar Black, Velvet Red, Sandrift Grey, Linen Beige, Summit White and Misty Lake. Engine details will include the same 1 liter 4 cylinder petrol engine seen in its previous model which will offer 63 bhp power and 90 Nm torque along with a 1.0 liter LPG engine. ARAI certifies that Spark with its petrol engine returns a mileage of 18 kmpl.

Chevrolet Spark will have clear class jewel effect headlamps, new tail lamps and a twin port chrome lined grille. Silver satin roof rails have been added while dashboard is lined with chrome and cabin sports a dual tone combination. Power windows for all four doors, 2 Din music system, USB port and auxiliary input jack and a wind inspired instrument cluster are some of the updates available on the new Spark. Once launched, the new Chevrolet Spark will compete with the likes of the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Ford Figo.
