With this, Delphi’s authorized repair network welcomes increased service opportunity for about 2 million EUP and Smart injector units. The launch is inclusive of new test equipment support, updated IRIS software, specific repair tooling, training, and a repair parts program. Workshops making the upshift need to attend a training course at a Delphi diesel training school to be authorised to repair EUP and Smart Injectors.
Delphi’s EUP’s valve technology comes from DPSS’ EUI product line-up. Used in conjunction with the high pressure electronically controlled Smart injector, EUP offers a high pressure fuel delivery system for HD engines.
With injectors nozzle control valve electronically controlled, fuel consumption is reduced, thereby improving performance to meet higher emission regulations. Delphi’s EUP and Smart Injector system is utilised in DAF (MX and PR), Paccar and Yuchai apps for Euro 4, Euro 5 and US 2010 emissions standards.
Smart Injector repair program covers all EUP variants, and Euro spec Smart Injectors and is available as a test equipment upgrade package to EUI E3 repair workshops at present. Repair for US2010 Smart Injectors will be available in early 2015.
