Dhoom 3 trailer shows Aamir and Uday riding BMW superbikes, Abhishek flying, and Katrina dancing
After releasing the first promo video last month, Yash Raj Films is back with the first trailer of D:3 or, Dhoom 3. Considered by many as Bollywood’s take on Hollywood’s hit series, Fast and Furious, the third edition of Dhoom franchise will see Aamir Khan as the bad guy, while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will carry forwards from their previous roles.
Speaking about the BMW K1200R, which Aamir Khan rides in the film, It possesses 1157 cc engine generating 163 hp at 10250 rpm and torque of 127 Nm torque at 8,250 rpm. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (97 kmph) is achieved in 2.6 seconds. It has a top speed of 170 mph (273.58 kmph). Compared to this, the bike Uday Chopra rides is much advanced. It features a 999 cc engine delivering 179.2 hp at 13,250 rpm and 112 Nm torque at 9750 rpm. It has a top speed of 305 kmph and does a 0-100 kmph in 3.1 second.
Dhoom’s earlier two installments featured John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan as the baddies, respectively. Dhoom 3 is shot in Chicago. It is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharia and not by Sanjay Gandhvi who directed the earlier two editions. Latest teaser of Dhoom 3 was uploaded on YouTube on September 4 and has since received over 1.5 million views. The previous motion teaser now has over 4 million views.
The most popular movie series in India revolving around super fast bikes, Dhoom was initially released in 2004 wherein Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Udit Chopra were seen in some high speed action. All three Bollywood heartthrobs are noted for their love for fast bikes on an off screen. Dhoom 2 made its presence felt in 2006 with Hrithik Roshan playing an international thief while Abhishekh Bachchan and Uday Chopra (Jai and Ali) play cops while high action is seen on super bikes. The same theme continues in Dhoom 3 with smart cops chasing a thief on super bikes. The latest edition of Dhoom, is also expected to be the best.
Speaking about the new Dhoom, Aamir recently stated to his fans on Facebook, “Guys… I just finished seeing the final cut of D3… and I cannot wait for y’all to watch it… Suddenly Christmas seems too far away!!!” Are you too waiting for the movie?
