Audi Board of Management Chairman, Rupert Stadler handed over new official cars to the winning German football champion last weekend. A driver safety training session was scheduled too.
The season opener scoreline was as follows: FC Bayern Munchen 2 – 1 VfL Wolfsburg with Muller scoring in first half, and Robben in the second half. The Bavarians then rode to Neuburg in the team bus.
Bayern Munchen has been driving luxury cars from Ingolstadt since 2002. Audi has since acquired a stake in the club. Activities see Bayern’s squad visit Audi events like DTM, and Ski World Cup. Audi Fanclub FC Bayern has more than 5,000 members. There’s no doubt both entities share a hunger for success.
Vehicle choices saw RS 7 Sportback 4.0 TFSI on top of the wish list 7 times, and Audi RS 6 Avant 4.0 TFSI 4 times. Philipp Lahm, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller, and coach Pep Guardiola chose the sporty Avant. The Munich squad also signed autographs on their day out. Audi driving experience saw team players tackle various driving situations taking on the handling course in an Audi R8 sports car, and the off-road course in a Audi A6 allroad.
