Hero MotoCorp monthly sales have once again crossed the half a million mark. In October 2012, Hero, world’s largest two wheeler manufacturer, dispatched 529,215, which compared to same period last year, is an increase by 3.3%. Thanks to the nearing Diwali festive season, sales of Hero MotorCorp two wheelers are expected to increase even further.

In the first fifteen days of this festive season, Hero MotorCorp states that they have already recorded 3.5 lakh two wheelers. Their scooter sales for the month of Oct 2012 have been their highest yet at more than 50,000 units. Apart from this, Hero Splendor has once again regained the title as the largest selling two wheeler in the country after it was dethroned by Bajaj Discover in September 2012 sales.

Mr. Anil Dua, Sr. Vice-President (Marketing & Sales), Hero MotoCorp Ltd said, “Our October story is about touching new milestones – highest-ever October sales, over half-a-lakh of scooter sales and retail of over 3.50 lakh units of two-wheelers in just 15 days of the festival period. The entire range of our new Hero-branded models, including the new launches – Maestro and Ignitor – has been lapped up by our customers, which is reflected in these numbers. With Diwali around the corner, we are prepared for even better retail sales in the month of November as well. We hope that the improved market sentiment will sustain itself as we go forward into the rest of this fiscal.”
