New Hyundai i20 India launches in India on 11th August, 2014. At least we know there will be a Blue CRDI top end ASTA variant again. 2015 Hyundai i20 looks a tad bit larger than outgoing i20, and borrows from Grand i10. The front is wider though. Front hexagonal airdam, thin front grille, and flared headlamps in a large encasing are visible.
The bonnet seems slightly distended, and in design and appearance, i20’s newest avatar looks new. Top end variants like Asta will wear chrome door handles, diamond cut alloy wheels and wing mirrors with integrated turn signals. A new tail light design is seen, and interiors should sport a new dashboard with enhanced equipment.
2015 i20 is based on a new platform, and will be launched in both petrol and diesel engine options. Engine options should include the already familiar 1.2 litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engines mated to 5 and 6 speed manual gearboxes, respectively.
