An auto rickshaw rally from Mumbai to Chennai via Alibaug, Pune, Mahableshwar, Ratnagiri, Panaji, Mangalore and Mysore has now reached Bangalore. From here the teams will all head to Vellore before their final destination at Chennai.

Rickshaw Challenge – Mumbai Xpress 2011rally which consists of 14 teams of 31 Internations rickshaw racers commenced in Mumbai on July 30th and will culminate in Chennai today, August 12th.

Covering a distance of over 2000 kms the 31 International Rallyists consist of people from various countries across the globe such as New Zealand, Australia, Chili, Spain, Ireland and Canada as well as the UK who will experience firsthand what Indian auto rickshaws are all about.

To promote Freedom through Education, this rally has so far raised over $80,000 for Round Table India. According to Mr. Nikhil Bagri, the teams are interacting with people in Indian villages along the way and taking part in their activities while enjoying the rally to the fullest.
