Isuzu Motors India first showroom in Chennai

Isuzu Motors India Pvt. Ltd, leading auto and diesel engine makers set up their first showroom in India. The new showroom is opened in Ambattur Industrial Estate in Chennai and is spread over an area of 3000 sq ft.

This new showroom will cater to sales, service and spare parts for the range of Isuzu vehicles which include MU-7 SUV and D-Max pickup truck. MU-7 is priced at INR 22.23 lakhs and INR 22 lakhs for BS4 and BS3 variants respectively. It is powered by a four cylinder, 2999cc common rail turbo diesel engine offering 163 PS power and 360 Nm torque. D-Max is priced at INR 6.6 lakhs.


Isuzu Motors is also setting up their first car production plant in South India with an investment of INR 3000 crores. The company will be producing light commercial vehicles and SUVs from this plant which is slated to be fully operational by 2016. Over the next three years, the company is eyeing 100% localization and will not only serve domestic markets from the Thiruvallur plant but will also be shipping their products to overseas markets from a new plant coming up in Hyderabad in the near future. The company has signed an MOU with the Government of Andhra Pradesh earlier this year to set up an LCV unit in Sri City, Hyderabad.

Where dealership networks are concerned, Isuzu Motors plans to have 5 outlets in Madurai, Tirupati, Vishakhapatnam, Bangalore, Cochin in South India by the end of this financial year, which will be increased to 60 by 2016.
