Jaguar XF India made now available at launch price Rs 44.50 lakhs
Jaguar Land Rover India plant in Pune has announced the launch of first ever made in India 2013 Jaguar XF. The locally manufactured Jaguar XF, will now be available at an entry price of Rs.44.5 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.
This new India made, Jaguar XF will feature a 2.2 liter diesel engine. It will be produced on the same lines as Land Rover Freelander 2, which has been rolling out from the same company plant since May 2011.
Jaguar XF has always been a very popular model due to its sports performance, high level of elegance and distinctive styling. It is due to these outstanding facts that it has won over 100 awards in global markets and being locally produced with a new engine, will enable the company to offer the Jaguar XF at more competitive pricing. Jaguar is trying to make its mark in the luxury car segment, which is currently dominated by German trio of Mercedes Benz, Audi, and BMW.
Jaguar XF with a 2.2 liter diesel engine will sport a number of safety and infotainment features. These will include rear view camera, a state of the art navigation system, TV Tuner, touch screen, gear shifting paddles, electric sun roof, full sized spare wheel and all engines will be mated to an eight speed automatic transmission. Its highly efficient engine will see gearshifts executed in 200 milliseconds, while the use of lightweight and compact components results in improved overall efficiency.
Being offered in a 2.2 liter i4 turbodiesel, 3.0 liter V6 turbodiesel and 5.0 liter V8 petrol supercharged, the Jaguar XF will offer a high level of fuel efficiency and improved auto emissions. Jaguar Land Rover sales in India are on the rise. For 2012, the Tata Motors owned company registered a growth rate of 32% in sales compared to 2011. JLR India sold 2,393 cars in 2012. India luxury car sales figures for BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz stand at 9375, 9003 and 7,138 cars respectively.
