Mercedes Benz launched the new GLA Class SUV in India in three trims. Price starting at Rs 32.75 lakhs, ex-showroom, New Delhi, the GLA competes with Audi Q3 and BMW X1. Brought in as a CBU, GLA is costlier than both Audi Q3 and BMW X1, both of which are being sold as CKD in India.
To be launched in India today, the new Mercedes Benz GLA SUV wentÂ on sale in the US early this week, where it is priced from $31,300 (Rs 19.29 lakhs). Offered with state of the art functionality, space and powerful engine options, the GLA is expected to be more successful than the CLA compact sedan in the US.
After a successful entry into the truck segment, Daimler Commercial Vehicles India, now aims to replicate the same into the bus segment, with the launch of new buses in 2015.
