Mahindra Centuro Rockstar entry variant launch price Rs. 44,710 (ex-Ahmedabad)
Mahindra Two Wheelers has launched new variant of popular commuter bike, Centuro Rockstar in select states of India – Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat. This is one of 5 launches the company has planned for this year.
Mahindra Centuro is known for its first in class features like remote flip key with LED torch light, anti theft alarm, find me lamps, guide me lamps and digital dashboard with distance to empty. Centuro Rockstar is entry level model of Mahindra Centuro, below O1 and N1 variants, and misses most of above features to make the bike more affordable in market. Centuro Rockstar does get a flip key but fob does not have remote functions and LED torch lamp.
Exterior gets new decals; rest of parts and parameters remain same minus stylish engine cowls. Mahindra Centuro Rockstar gets LED pilot lamps, telescopic front forks with hydraulic dampers, 5 step adjustable rear shocks with coil over spring and LED tail lamps. Front tyre is 2.75-18″ and rear rubber is 3.00-18″ on black alloy wheels with 130 mm brake drum at centre.
Engine of Centuro Rockstar will be same as other variants, O1 and N1. 106.7cc single cylinder air-cooled MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) 4 stroke engine in Centuro line of commuters produces max. power of 8.38 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and 8.5Nm @ 5,500 rpm; mated to 4 speed gearbox. Self start is available as standard along with kick start lever.
Launch price of Mahindra Centuro Rockstar in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is Rs. 44,710 (ex-showroom), which is about Rs. 6,000 cheaper than top end Centuro O1 (Rs. 50,310) and Rs. 3,000 lesser than mid variant Centuro N1 (Rs. 47,516) which has all features of O1 except digital dashboard. Centuro Rockstar competes with Hero Splendor, Honda Dream Neo and Bajaj Discover 100 M.
