Maruti Ertiga CNG MPV launch next week for car buyers in India
With prices of fuel continually on the rise, following new policies, the auto sector is dealing with a slump in sales, while customers are weighing their options of purchasing vehicles with CNG, as against petrol or diesel powered. To cater to these demands, Maruti Suzuki is going to launch the much awaited CNG version of the Ertiga MPV.
The CNG variant will be offered on the LXi and VXi trims. The price of Ertiga CNG will be approximately INR 30,000 more than their petrol counterparts. Ertiga will be the company’s second offering where CNG engines are concerned, the first being the SX4 which is offered in petrol, diesel and CNG options.
With the launch of a new CNG variant of the Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki is targeting to add around 1000 to 1500 units every month to the existing monthly average of 5,500 units. The CNG option is being aimed at urban buyers who ply their vehicles within city limits and not exceeding 30 kms per day.
Apart from this, Maruti Suzuki recently introduced a special edition of Ertiga, which celebrates it’s 1st anniversary. Ertiga Feliz is loaded with new features like back pocket organizer for front seat, steering wheel cover, ‘Feliz’ embossed pillows, reverse parking sensor with digital display, new door guard, new interior styling kit, new floor mats, and new premium looking seat covers. Available only in top end diesel and petrol trims, VDi and VXi, Feliz edition of Ertiga will cost you Rs 20,000 more.
