It was common knowledge that Maruti Suzuki was readying this automatic version ever since Ritz facelift was launched in Indian markets in September 2012. However, now that Honda Brio Automatic is in markets, Maruti Suzuki is not wasting any more time to bring in their Automatic Ritz hatchback. With details already updated on official Ritz website, it is sure that this launch is imminent.
From information revealed on website, Ritz AT will have a 1.2 liter KB12 engine producing 87 PS of maximum power and will be mated to a 4 speed automatic gearbox also seen in Maruti A Star. The automatic gearbox will be offered only with the petrol version of Ritz hatchback and expected price is between Rs.5 lakhs and Rs 6 lakhs for VXi trim. New Maruti Suzuki Ritz hatchback will be offered in a choice of six colors, New Mystique Red, New Breeze Blue, New Granite Grey, Silky Silver, Bakers Chocolate, and Superior White.
