Both Swift hatchback and DZire compact sedan have been workhorses for Maruti Suzuki ever since they were launched. The current generation Swift and DZire, on sale since 2011, have also proved to be best sellers for the company, consistent in sales performance and surging ahead despite increase in competition from new car launches.

Interior modifications include new upholstery in blue and grey tones, auto touch up function for windows and a host of safety and infotainment features.
DZire sedan, first launched in 2008, is based on the Swift platform. Updated version emerged in 2012 with Maruti Suzuki trimming its length to benefit from the lower excise duty, which is offered for cars below the 4 meter mark. DZire facelift will features the same updates as that of Swift facelift. The engine updates on board updated Swift and DZire will remain the same to include a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine producing 85 BHP and 74 BHP of power respectively.
