Maruti SX4 sedan replacement spy shot reveals side view
Maruti Suzuki SX4 sedan was updated recently, earlier this year. But, this has hardly seen any improvement as far as sales is concerned. Competing in a segment which is ruled by Hyundai Verna and petrol powered Honda City, Maruti SX4 sales have not been as expected by India’s largest car manufacturer.
But, that’s going to change. Maruti Suzuki is working on a replacement for current SX4. This model is currently in the test phase and is code named YL1. Maruti is testing the YL1 near their plant in Manesar, Gurgaon and this has been spotted on many occasions. Recently, the camouflaged sedan was spied by Team-BHP, and this image reveals the side-view of the sedan in the best possible way till date.
From the image, we can see that Maruti has utilized design cues from Suzuki Authentics Concept, which was unveiled at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. Interiors are expected to feature same as that seen on existing Ertiga, and trims on offer will be like the one’s seen on all Maruti variants, in L, V and Z. To be unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in February next year, engine options will include a diesel and petrol option.
