Mercedes Benz B Class Sports Tourer is about to make its entrance into India on September 18th 2012. This vehicle was seen at the Buddh International Circuit earlier this year in July while it can be currentlye seen at MB dealerships across the country ready to appeal to a younger and sportier range of customers. The new B Class will be brought into India as a Completely Built up Unit while local assembly will commence from the company plant in Chakan early 2013 during the same time as when a diesel variant will hit the markets.

Mercedes Benz B Class will compete with the likes of BMW X1 and Audi Q3 both of which are in the sub Rs.25 lakh category. B Class is a compact sports tourer. Space and ground clearance are at a premium. Its dashboard is elegantly styled with SLS style air con vents and AMG style steering wheel. Drive’s comforts are specially taken into consideration while all seats are well upholstered for additional comfort. Boot space stands at 486 liters with a total of 1545 liters when rear seats are folded down.

An all aluminum engine of 1.6 liter turbocharged, direct injection is in the offing which will offer 121 bhp and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 10.2 seconds to reach a maximum speed of 192 kmph. B Class starts up in Eco mode and has start stop system in place, while Sport and Manual mode is also being offered on the new Mercedes Benz B Class.
