There are just a few weeks to go before the Mercedes Benz CLA makes it official debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, scheduled from January 14 to 27, 2013. Photos of the same were revealed earlier this week. Surprisingly, the car is already available in Korea, but as a miniature die cast model! The images here, are supposed to be 1/18 scale model of the yet to be officially revealed Mercedes Benz CLA.
Referred to as Baby CLS, Mercedes Benz CLA shares its platform and a number of other features with the new A Class. The base model is a front wheel drive and engine options are also likely to be shared with the A Class. Engine options will include a 1.6 liter and 1.8 liter gasoline engine ranging from 107 to 211 hp. Four variants of CLA are expected which will include CLA 180 with 122 hp, CLA 200 with 156 hp, CLA 250 with 211 hp and a diesel engined options is also scheduled to be offered though US markets will not be receiving the latter.
These engines will be mated to a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed dual clutch automatic. Interiors will possess technological features such as iPhone support offering Siri connectivity, COMAND infotainment and Mercedes pre safe collision avoidance system. Sales are likely to follow the Detroit Auto Show probably by end of 2013 or early 2014.
