Mercedes-Benz India plant helipad for fly-in visits for AMG customers

Mercedes Benz India, the wholly owned subsidiary of German Daimler AG with headquarters in Pune has not only just launched their SLK 55 AMG priced at INR 1.26 crores but has also built an exclusive helipad at its factory premises in Pune.

The helipad isn’t probably altogether new. Though it may have seemingly gone unnoticed, we saw a fitting structure close to their in-house Performance Track at the start of the year, surely there were no stationary helicopters at that time. The sot in question could also be part of the track for further stunts involving doughnuts and testing turning radius of MB cars. Of course, helipad details are yet to be confirmed and more information will be made available next week by Mercedes-Benz India.

The helipad will reportedly be used for the sole purpose to fly in potential buyers to view the company’s AMG vehicles. This target group is small, but with much potential.

The helipad is built within the company premises from where customers will be directed to a specially built arena that houses SLS AMG roadster, just launched SLK 55 AMG and other select cars in this range.
