Mercedes Benz has registered a global sales growth of 5.7% during this month of Nov 2012. They sold 120,346 luxury cars last month, excluding the SMART brand. Including SMART, Mercedes Benz sold 128,768 cars in Nov 2012. Since the start of the year Mercedes has delivered 1,194,904 vehicles to customers all over the world, which is an increase of 5.1% over the same period last year.
In the NAFTA region (North American Free Trade Agreement – Canada, Mexico and US), Mercedes has registered an impressive spurt in growth with sales of over 279,675 vehicles, since start of this year, translating into a 11.4% increase in sales. During Jan-Nov 2012, 245,910 vehicles were sold in the USA where this brand is much sought after. This is evident from the fact that in Nov 2012, Mercedes registered sales of 30,315 units, which is a 13.1% increase as compared to the same period last year.
Germany has once again been judged the best market for Mercedes vehicles with sales of 238,398 vehicles for Jan to Nov 2012 period. Mercedes Benz managed to revive its image in the western European countries with sales of 22,962 units which translated into a 6.1% increase for the brand. UK and France markets registered a tremendous increase in sales with a 9.9% and 37.6% growth respectively.
Chinese markets registered a 4.2% increase with Russian, South Korean and Japanese markets registering a 26.9%, 6.9% and 23.8% growth. Demands for the A-class, B-class, G-class, C-class, S-class, face lifted GLK and E-class vehicles were quite high in the period from January to November.
