Mitsubishi Motors UK online auction to raise £1 million
Mitsubishi Motors UK is helping raise £1million with a charity auction in Sir Bobby Robson’s memory between October 10th and 27th.
The first auction took place in 2011 and raised £248,000 thanks to prizes donated by the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton and others. Thsi year prizes include VIP tickets to the Mitsubishi-sponsored Badminton Horse Trials, a personal training session for two with England spinner Graeme Swann at Lords, lunch with Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas and many more.
Lance, who once met Sir Bobby, said, “It’s fantastic because literally everybody that you speak to, when you mention Sir Bobby’s name, they say “what can I do?” and it doesn’t matter how big or small it is, we have had people do some amazing things. We’ve set ourselves a big target this year but we’re hoping people will get behind us and help make it happen.” A ‘Text to Win’ competition provides an opportunity to win a trip to next year’s Monaco Grand Prix, attend an England training session, or win VIP tickets to the 2014 Champions League Final in Portugal.
