In the UK, Suzuki has announced a new variant of Swift hatchback, called SZ-L: SPECIAL EDITION. Limited to just 500 units, Swift special edition is based on the mid-grade SZ3 and powered by a 1.2-litre Dual VVT 94PS engine.

All Swift SZ3 models already come well equipped with seven airbags, ESP, air conditioning, USB port and Bluetooth as standard. SZ-L adds LED daytime running lights and cruise control from the recently updated Swift SZ4, along with extra equipment only available on SZ-L.

Suzuki Swift Special Edition launched in the UK (1)Exclusive equipment includes 2-tone metallic paintwork as standard; in either Boost Blue or Cosmic Black body colours with contrasting Cool White roof, rear spoiler and door mirrors. Inside, silver stitching has been added to the steering wheel, gear gaiter and seats which also have a unique fabric design.

To be on sale from 1st March 2014, the special edition Swift will come in 3-door and 5-door variants. Price is kept at £10,899 (Rs 11.25 lakh) for three door models and £11,316 (Rs 11.69 lakh) for five door models.

India is yet to receive the Swift facelift, while UK received the Swift facelift last year. The special edition you see in the images below, is based on the Swift facelift, which is expected to be launched in India by August this year.

    India 2014 Swift? the i20 like DRLs looks horrible, it blinds my eyes. forget DRLs, i was blinded for few seconds, by the Merc E350 LED Reverse lights.

      true, some of these tail-lights are very bright, probably brighter than headlights of some cars on our roads 😛
