Tata Motors 6X6 multi axle vehicles to mount radar applications for Indian Air Force. Once completed, these platforms will be able to detect low flying aircrafts and spy planes and unmanned aero vehicles.

Radar System

Tata Motors 6X6 multi axle high mobility mobile platforms will be used to mount radar applications for the Indian Air Force. The company has received an order from Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Bangalore to supply these 6X6 multi axle vehicle platforms to BEL which will be fitted with these radar applications. Once completed, these platforms will be able to detect low flying aircrafts and spy planes and unmanned aero vehicles.

The system will also be able to detect any other interference or disturbances with the utmost accuracy. Tata Motors will be supplying these platforms to BEL Bangalore. Tata Motors will also be supplying 96 Specialist Tractors to the Indian defence forces ‘Akash’ missile program. 6X6, 8X8 and 12X12 multipurpose high mobility carriers have been specially formulated at Tata Motors to take care of special rocket and missile systems.

The Indian Defence has also approved of the Tata 2038 6X6 vehicle platform to meet the needs of GRAD BM21 Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher facilities during field firing training. To the Indian Defence Services, Tata Motors also supplies a host of other multi axle systems from Missile Carrier Systems to Water Purification Systems and have also demonstrated their platforms for programs such as Bramos, Pinnaka and Akash.
