Toyota Camry Hybrid India launch soon but will July 2013 sales decline reverse anytime now
Their Facebook page lets the cat out of the bag in regards to launches from Toyota Kirloskar India. It is now clear that Toyota Camry Hybrid with it’s Hybrid Synergy Drive system has a fast approaching launch date here. In regards to Hybrid, it is almost always Prius that comes to mind, but the company is certain that Camry deserves the same treatment.
The month of July ended on a positive note where auto companies such as Honda and Ford were concerned with each of these companies posting increased domestic sales during the month. However for companies such as Tata Motors, M&M, Toyota and GM, the month of July saw a continued dip in sales.
Toyota Kirloskar Motors sold a total of 14,470 units during the past month which resulted in a 10% decline in sales as compared to 16,062 units sold in July 2012. Exports of the company included the Etios series which totaled 2,955 units. Domestic sales stood at 11,515 units as against 14,574 units in July 2012 but exports were considerably lower.
Tata Motors sales in domestic markets were down 58.75% with 10,824 units sold while Mahindra & Mahindra sales fell 19.41% with 34,490 units sold. Similarly, General Motors India also reported a 10.73% dip in sales with 6,503 units sold in July 2013 as against 7,285 units sold in July 2012.
