Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2013 driver spot selection, do not forget your helmet

For those who missed the last date of registration for the Volkswagen Polo R Cup Driver Selection, spot selection will be held with interested parties meeting the Volkswagen Polo R Team on 22nd March 2013 at the Le Meridian hotel in Coimbatore. Aspirants will have to pay an entry fee of  Rs 20,000 which will include Volkswagen merchandise, three meals on track, coaching by drivers with a thorough knowledge of circuit racing, and practice laps around the circuit in Volkswagen Polo R Cup vehicles.

Those wishing to participate in this unique opportunity will need to bring in two passport sized photographs, a Xerox copy of driving license/PAN card and proof of address. Racing hopefuls will also need to bring in helmets to practice around the circuit and a demand draft of Rs 1 lakh which will be encashed by Volkswagen Motorsport India only in the event of final selection, or returned on the day.

Volkswagen Polo R Cup attracts a large number of amateur and professional racing aficionados each year and is one of the most anticipated racing events in India. The 20 Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2013 selected drivers will receive a special Garmin Fenix watch on final driver selection weekend. Junior category winner was Hanoosh Surapaneni from the 2012 VW Polo R cup India season has been offered a sponsored seat in the 2013 Volkswagen Polo R Cup season. Also, last years VW Polo Cup Pro Category winner, A. Sandeep Kumar will represent India in the 2013 Scirocco R-Cup in Germany. From 6th – 10th March, Volkswagen Motorsport held their annual Fitness Camp for Scirocco R-Cup drivers in Oberjoch.
