Volvo V40 T5 HPC 345 hp has Mercedes Benz A 45 AMG and BMW M 135i in sight (Video)
Heico Sportiv, performance partners of Volvo, have revealed the all new V40 T5 HPC – High Performance Concept. Based on the V40 Cross Country, which was recently launched in India, this new concept delivers 345 hp, from the same 2.5l engine. Once launched, it is expected to compete with Mercedes Benz A 45 AMG and BMW M 135i.
Apart from tuning the engine, Heico Sportiv have enhanced the exhaust system, turbocharger and air system of the standard V40 Cross Country. This causes output to increase from 254 hp to 320 hp while torque figures have also been augmented from 360 Nm to 510 Nm.
Output can be further increased to 350 hp when water ethanol injection system comes into force which can be activated via a stainless steel button located on the steering wheel. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is accomplished in 5.6 seconds while the 345hp Volvo V40 T5 HPC has a top speed of 265 kmph.
Heico Sportiv has also ensured that the car is lowered by 30 mm so as to give it a sportier appeal while the vehicle sits on 19â€ť alloy wheels fitted with 235/35 R 19 tyres. The vehicle is also fitted with six piston sport brake system with 370 mm perforated discs. Built of lightweight material and interiors sporting extensive use of Alcantara and Recaro sports seats complete the appearance.
