Yamaha optimistic of 20% growth in sales this year
Yamaha Motor India Pvt. Ltd looks ahead with confidence and hopefulness as they predict sales in India to grow by over 20% during the current year. This feeling of optimism is despite the fact that the country is facing lower than average monsoons, and a negative outlook on growth predicted by analysts.
To cater to first time buyers and buyers in rural and semi urban areas, the company is slated to commence work on a small bike in the $500 (INR 30,000) range. Though Yamaha Motors has not stated as to when this world’s cheapest bike will emerge, they are sure of its pricing and the fact that it will allow the company to increase their market share substantially.
