To make its way into Europe with one diesel and four gasoline engines, the diesel will include a 1.4 D-4D turbodiesel engine offering 89 hp power and 205 Nm torque. The engine will be mated to a six speed manual transmission offering fuel efficiency of 3.8 liters per 100 km while emitting just 99 g/km CO2.
Where petrol variants are concerned, the Corolla will receive a 1.33-liter Dual VVT-i unit, 1.6-liter Dual VVT-I, 1.6-liter Valvematic while the most powerful engine on the new Corolla is a 1.8-liter Dual VVT-i. Each of these engines are fuel efficient and low on auto emissions.
To be released in three trim levels – Live, Active and Lounge, the new Corolla will sport smart entry and start system, dual zone air conditioning and various other safety features besides a Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system. Interiors will also sport 6.1 inch touchscreen interfaced with AM/FM radio, CD/MP3 player and AUX/USB/Pod ports.
