Audi TT Offroad Concept revealed in Beijing

Audi had previously previewed this new concept with a series of sketches, now, they have brought their new Audi TT concept car in the flesh to 2014 Beijing Motor Show. True to future TT family of a sporty SUV, the new Audi TT combines the sportiness of a coupé with the lifestyle and utility of a compact SUV.

Audi TT Offroad Concept revealed in BeijingAudi TT Offroad Concept Car is being displayed at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show in China which is the company’s second domestic market. Displaying outstanding dynamism, intelligence and sustainability, the new car from Audi is in a concept format with the company yet to take a decision on when this model will enter production, post which it will compete with the likes of Range Rover Evoque, Porsche Macan and BMW X4.

The 4 door compact SUV receives a plug-in hybrid drive system as it with a 2.0 liter TFSI petrol engine producing 288 bhp power and 280 lb/ft torque sending power to front wheels via a six speed dual clutch transmission while its integrated electric motor is rated at 40kW. Top speed is pegged at 250 kmph while auto emissions are rated at 45 g/km.

Audi TT offroad concept is based on the VW MQB Platform. It sits on 21” alloy wheels and sports the Audi new Singleframe grille and Matrix LED headlights besides borrowing a host of design cues from the Allroad Shooting Brake concept on display earlier this year at the Detroit Motor Show.

Interiors are comfortable for upto 4 adults with comfortable seating and integrated head rests besides a multifunction steering wheel, added storage spaces, and a new 12.3 inch TFT display offering all necessary driver information and navigation instructions. Passengers at the rear receive Audi’s Smart Displays with live TV and access to a host of media functions.
