Car and bike owners: BIC Open Track Day on May 4

Attention bike nuts and petrolheads, you may wanna get your rides serviced, aligned and nevertheless washed, as Buddh International Circuit announces Open Track Day on May 4 2014. This first time in 2014 BIC Time Trial Season II succeeds Season I that took place enthusiastically on 10th March 2013. This time, BIC offers 5% discount for Lady riders/motorists as a gesture of encouragement.

bic open track day 2014 carsParticipants can bring their own bikes & cars and enrol themselves to test the track for 45 minutes per session for a fee of Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively each session, that includes all taxes and indemnity costs. Further, one can ‘arrive and drive’ a Volkswagen Polo R Cup car for 20 minutes paying Rs. 12,000 or for 45 minutes paying Rs. 17,000. Gokarting will also be open.

Like previous season of BIC Time Trial, taxi rides on the track on Mercedes SLS AMG and Mercedes C/E/ML class cars are also offered. Two laps on SLS AMG will cost Rs. 7,500 per person and one lap on other Mercedes vehicles will cost Rs. 1,500 per person.

Cameras, Transponders and Helmets are rented out by BIC at nominal rates against a security deposit of Rs. 10,000. But, one has to bring his/her own proper full piece riding suit to be allowed to ride there.

As per track day protocols, track officials will scrutinise every car and bike for proper mechanical and electrical functioning and track-worthiness before letting one into the track. Then, qualified BIC driving instructors will perform safety briefing to explain rules, driving techniques, safety regulations, circuit information and how to handle emergency situations on the track.
