General Motors India Private Limited is all set to bring in their new Chevrolet Enjoy Multi Purpose Vehicle into Indian markets by early 2013. Chevrolet Enjoy will compete with the likes of other major MPVs already launched in the country such as Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova. Enjoy will be brought in with competitive pricing.
Chevrolet Enjoy will possess a 1.4 liter petrol engine which will be capable of 90 bhp power and 127 Nm torque mated to a five speed manual transmission system. As will be most desired in the Indian markets, a diesel engined Enjoy is also on its way and this will possess Fiat’s 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine. To compete with others in its class, Chevrolet Enjoy will have a host of safety features which will include Anti Lock Braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, dual front bags, central locking, etc. Chevrolet Enjoy is a rebadged Wuling Hongguang, which is developed through a joint venture of SAIC and GM Wuling.
Chevrolet Enjoy here, was recently spotted in a residential area of Mumbai. Probably the test driver had a stopover, as the reader, Manmeet, who send these images, stated that the car was gone by early morning. Images reveal that Enjoy will possess seating capacity of 2+2+3 seats while more details will be evident closer to launch date. From the images, you can also see that the Chevrolet Enjoy for India will have a spare tyre, bolted underneath the rear.
