Indian rider Dilip Rogger made his international competition comeback last weekend in the Losail Asian Super Series Championship organized by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) at Losail International Circuit (LIC) in Qatar. Rogger participated in the final round of the Losail Asian Super Series Championship on a Yamaha R6 in the 600cc category.

Dilip RoggerHe joined K Rajni Krishnan who participated in the 1000cc category. Rogger, who is supported by PYRRA, FMSCI and the QMMF said, “I am happy to be back racing again. It will be good to get behind the Yamaha R6 again in the 600cc category. I want to thank the FMSCI, the QMMF and my sponsor PYRRA for making this happen. I have been practicing and testing over the last couple of months and I feel really comfortable on the bike. It will be a tough challenge as the other riders have been riding regularly but I am confident of a top 5 finish. This will also be the first time that I am participating in a night race so I am really looking forward to it.”

Free practice and qualifying were held on Friday Night and Races 1 & 2 will on Saturday. He secured a double podium finish in the final round of the Losail Asian Super Series Championship in the 600cc category on Sunday, finishing 3rd in Race 1 and 2nd in Race 2 in his first night race at LIC. In Race 2, he benefitted from a crash between 2 riders ahead of him and came in 2nd.
