Ducati Monster 797 India launch price INR 7.77 lakh
Scrambler's 803 cc engine debuts in the Monster range.
Ducati Monster 797 gets power from a 803cc Desmodue L-twin 2-valve engine used in the Scrambler. The engine returns 75bhp, and 50.8 ft-lb torque. It’s fitted with a slipper clutch, twin-spar swingarm, non-adjustable KYB 43mm fork, and preload/rebound adjustable Sachs monoshock. The bike retails at just INR 7.77 lakh, es-showroom, Delhi.
The minimal approach extends to electronics too. There’s no traction control. The Bosch 9.1MP ABS module is mated to Brembo M4.32 calipers. Kerb mass is at 193 kg.
The 10 spoke alloy wheels support a 120/70 17 front tyre, and 180/55 17 rear tyre. Pirelli Diablo Rosso II are offered as standard. The Ducati Monster 797 frame is a tubular steel trellis. The 16.5-litre tank is also a steel offering, which means a daily use magnetic tank bag serves well.
With seat height at 805mm, Ducati Monster 797 uses wide bars and a full LCD dash. It’s Ducati Multimedia System enabled and has a USB power socket.
