Exports stood at 1,991 units in May 2013 as against 1,693 units in May 2012 thus registering a 17.6% increase. The new Ford EcoSport will be the first vehicle in its segment in the country to sport SYNC, Ford’s in car connectivity system that permits users to make phone calls and listen to their favorite music by use of voice commands while keeping hands firmly on steering wheel. It will also be Ford’s first vehicle to be offered in India with Emergency Assist System automatically alerting medical and other emergency services in the event of an accident.
Ford India is also initiating several festive offers where its Ford Figo and Classic are concerned. MyEndeavor alterrain adventure driving series on National Geographic Channel will be offered featuring five adults and their outstanding journeys. Ford will also be opening 3S facilities in Nalgonda in Andhra Pradesh while concentrating on increasing their sales and service outlets in the country.
