Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing director of Raymond limited went through with India’s first Ferrari 458 challenge at the Buddh International Circuit. He created a record when he completed the 5.1 km lap in 1 minute 59 seconds beating his previous record of 2 min 1 sec. Apart from this record, he also took great pleasure in completing 98 laps on Monday and 109+ laps on Tuesday.
Considering a lap distance of 5.1 km, he drove an average 500 km a day at the Buddh International Circuit. Mr. Gautam Singhania is an ardent supercar and racing fan and is the Founding Chairman of the Super Car Club. He’s of the opinion that such track events will help attract budding talent and thereby improve the scenario of motorsports in India.
He’s instrumental with hosting the Parx Super Car Show that has been held in Mumbai since the past 5 years. He also took part in the All Stars European Drift Championship where he won by a difference of 2.5 points. During the event Mr. Gautam Singhania drove a modified Nissan Sylvia S13 which is India’s first drifting car.
