Honda Concept D crossover revealed, previews China-specific model?
Shanghai Auto Show 2015 has witnessed unveiling of a new crossover study, Honda Concept D, which seems to be previewing a new model targeted only at China.
Exterior of Honda Concept D SUV is filled with edgy and muscular detailing, which seems to be overdone at the front fascia. The enormous grille section flanked by oddly sleek headlamps, a pair of huge air vents on either side of front bumper, dual-colour alloy wheels with futuristic design details, flared wheel arches, highly conspicuous side skirts, completely uniform Day Light Opening and pretty-much cluttered rear facade similar to the front.
Notable features include LED Daytime Running Lights on front, cameras replacing Outside Rear View Mirrors, C-shaped LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoilers, 21-inch alloy wheels, 285/45 section tires and bronze body paint that is spilt on the wheels.
Regarding powertrain, the Japanese carmaker has not revealed any specifications, but from the looks of it, including the lack of an exhaust pipe, Honda Concept D crossover could actually be a pure electric vehicle. Production version could be positioned as the flagship Honda SUV in China, which would host next generation features and technologies, for driving, entertainment and safety.
