Li Chao and Team Betterlife team up with Asia Racing Team for Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2014

Team Betterlife and Asia Racing Team formed a strong partnership in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia back in 2012. The same year, Wang Jian Wei recorded his 2nd podium finish in his career at Ordos.

33 year-old Li Chao joins Team Betterlife after a career in touring car and GT racing. He ventured into Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2012 via the VW Scirocco R Cup China and China Formula Grand Prix single seater series. In 2013 he finished 3rd in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Class B and completed a number of France GT Championship rounds for Team JR.

Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season kicks off in Malaysia on March 28th as part of 2014 Formula One Malaysia Grand Prix with a line-up of new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 991) racing cars.

Eddy Mok (BetterLife Porsche Group – General Manager) said, “The Betterlife Group wants to keep promoting motorsport to our Porsche owners and fans. We welcome the opportunity to continue our relationship with Asia Racing Team. We enjoyed working with the team in the past two seasons of Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and we are excited to be on board this year with Li Chao behind the wheel.”

Philippe Descombes (Asia Racing Team – Team Manager) said, “We are delighted and very proud that Team Betterlife have chosen to place their car with us again in 2014. It is also a pleasure to work with Li Chao again. We’ve had the pleasure of having him as part of Asia Racing Team for the past two seasons and we’ve seen him mature and improve with every year. ”

Li Chao (Team Betterlife – Racing Driver) said, “Team Betterlife has enjoyed the greatest possible success in motorsport in recent years and I really feel part of this family. It’s going to be a challenge to step up to the Class A this season but I feel I am ready for it. Representing Team Betterlife and Asia Racing Team is something special, and I could not wish for a better combination.”
