To be positioned above Swift, YRA will compete with the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and upcoming new Honda Jazz. Bearing a premium and well proportioned exteriors, the soon to be launched Maruti YRA will feature projector headlamps, LED day time running lights and a roofline in a new design not seen on any of the existing Maruti hatchbacks in India.

Speaking about their second car, spy shots reveal Maruti YBA features very similar styling as seen on the newly launched Vitara SUV (for Europe). The YBA is noted with a tapering window line, angular tail lamps and a lowered airdam. Front grille sports a horizontal design as against vertical slats while wheel arches are devoid of added cladding. The rear end of the YBA receives a spare wheel on its tailgate.
Maruti YBA will be a under 4 meter compact SUV. It will be based on the XA-Alpha concept which was showcased back at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Expected to be launched later this year, or at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February next year, YBA will rival the likes of Ford EcoSport and upcoming Mahindra S101. Price is expected to be in the Rs 6-9 lakh bracket.
