Mercedes Benz sales during the month of February 2013 have reached the 90,083 mark. Sales during the same month in the previous year were at 95,647 units but total sales since the beginning of this year has touch the 184,978 mark, an increase by 1.3%. Sales were particularly noteworthy in USA, Russia and Japan.
New Mercedes compacts and SUVs were more in demand while customers can look forward to the new Mercedes CLA, E Class and S Class in the coming months. Mercedes Benz sales in the NAFTA region saw a 10% increase while in USA sales were up 21.9% in February with 22,040 units sold. Sales in Mexico, Asia Pacific region, Japan and Korea were also positive. Sales in China totalled 10,134 units during February 2013 while sales in the same month in previous year stood at 19,205 units. The company now pins their hopes on the new Beijing Mercedes Benz Sales Service Company Limited which commenced operations at the beginning of March this year.
Mercedes Benz models such as the A Class and B Class have been seeing increased demand. Sales of these two models were at 22,143 during February and in order to meet these growing demands the company has added special shifts to their plant at Rastatt. The Kecskemét plant (Hungary) will also work on all Saturdays in April.
