Mercedes-Benz India M-Class local assembly, paint shop inauguration, C-Class and E-Class Sport Edition launch
Mercedes Benz has perfectly timed launch of their new C Class and E Class Sports Editions in time for the upcoming festive season in India. C Class Sport is priced at Rs.29.9 lakhs while the E Class Sport is priced at Rs.39.9 lakhs both ex showroom Delhi. C Class Sport edition possesses an AMG body styling with new front and rear bumper aprons and side skirts which enhance the sporty image. 17” 5 twin spoke alloy wheels, halogen lamps and fog lamps are seen on its exterior while. MB is also set to roll out the company’s first locally manufactured M-Class & Inauguration of the state-of-the-art Paint Shop.
Interiors are done up in Artico upholstery with Black piano lacquer trim while a state of the art entertainment system features Audio 20 with single CD player, USB, Aux in and Bluetooth connectivity. The C Class Sport Edition has a 7G TRONIC automatic transmission. Its 4 cylinder 2143cc engine has output of 170 hp at 3000 to 4200 rpm and 400 Nm torque at 1400 to 2800 rpm.
E Class Sport Edition possesses an AMG Body Styling, 18” 5 spoke alloy wheels and a black painted room. Halogen lamps, LED daytime lights are seen on its exterior while interiors get aortic upholstery and burr walnut wood trims. Mirror package and THERMOTRONIC automatic climate controls are added while an entertainment package consists of Audio 20 with CD player and USB with Aux in and Bluetooth. The E Class has enhanced safety features which include 6 air bags, ABS, brake assist and Electronic Stability Program with Acceleration Skid Control.

Mercedes-Benz India today launched a Sport Edition of its flagship sedans the C-Class and the E-Class. The Sport Edition of the C-Class 220 CDI and the E-Class 220 CDI Sport Edition was launched by Mr. Peter Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India and Mr. Debashis Mitra, Director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India. The aggressive design language of Mercedes-Benz which is evident across the product lines is embodied in the Sport Edition of the C-Class and the E-Class both of which are pillars of Mercedes-Benz India’s product portfolio, and has been recognized for their aggressive looks.
The C-Class and the E-Class flagships sedans have been Mercedes-Benz India’s highest selling luxury cars in India. The C-Class sedan known for its performance and driving dynamics has sold close to 16,000 units in the Indian market since its introduction. The E-Class sedan that sets benchmark in luxury segment has sold more than 21,000 units till date. The average age of customer in India today is getting more younger & the Sport Edition of the C-Class and E-Class is a tribute to these young, aggressive and trendy emerging new age consumers. The Sport Edition of the C-Class and the E-Class stands distinctively different from any other car in its segment in India, since the dynamic interplay of lines and colors and trims reflect the aggressive driving dynamics of these vehicles.

The C-Class Sport Edition
The C-Class Sport Edition features the AMG Body styling with front and rear bumper aprons and side skirts adding to the aggressive and sporty look of the car making it visually more dynamic. The 17-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels and the black painted roof with a SPORT badge add on to the sporty appeal of the C-Class Sport Edition. The C-Class Sport Edition comes with halogen lamp and fog lamps and is available in Polar White body color.
The C 220 CDI Sport Edition has also been endowed with a distinctive sporty look which spells out the opulence of the car’s interiors which gets Artico upholstery with a Black piano lacquer trim enhancing the feel of luxurious feel of the C-Cass Sport Edition. The new 18 inches 5 spoke light alloy wheels with the black painted roof and a SPORT badge makes the exterior of the E-Class Sport Edition more dynamic. The E-Class Sport Edition has halogen lamps, sports the stylish LED Day time driving light and comes with Direct Control Suspension resulting in a smoother ride quality. The E-Class Sport Edition will be available in Polar White.
