MS Dhoni partner and brand ambassador of Bike Festival of India (BFI)

Last Friday, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced BFI’s 1st edition, which aims to be South East Asia’s largest bike festival. The launch event saw biking communities across and media personnel interact wihth MS Dhoni.

Bike Festival of India (BFI) will offer a platform for biking enthusiasts to be a part of a biking adventure here while it upholds the importance of safe biking. BFI looks to bring 120 biking communities under 1 roof to participate in a series of events. Bike Festival of India has been conceptualised by Vikram Shankar- VP of Event Capital, and Ikjot Singh, a superbiker who is also a founder member.

MS Dhoni himself a passionate biker has stepped in as partner and brand ambassador of BFI. Bike Festival of India has no professional restriction on participation and is open to all with a love for biking. It sees the coming together of street bikes, sports bikes, super bikes and off roaders. BFI will get underway with a month long cross country bike ride in 2014 Q1 going across all states to enter the Guinness Book of World Records.

A racing championship at the Buddh International Circuit is scheduled in March 2014. BFI will host a Dirt Bike Championship, and a Rally Championship. Stunt riding, wheelies, burnouts, stoppies and group rides will be organised, alongwith track competitions such as weight lifting, arm wrestling, bench press, push ups, and food festivals. Bike, and bike accessory exhibitions will be a significant to Bike Festival of India.

Talking about Bike Festival of India, MS Dhoni said, “Biking for me is a passion, which is why I am excited to be part of this initiative that not only is an adventure in its form but also promotes safe biking. BFI will be an annual platform for the biking community to meet, interact and share adventures together. Meeting with the presidents of various biking communities from all over India has been enlightening and I look forward to joining them sometime on the track.”
