PSA Peugeot Citroën and General Motors Global Strategic Alliance partnership


peugeot-408Singing of a global strategic alliance partnership by PSA Peugeot Citoren and General Motors has widened the scope of vehicle projects of these two brands coupled with inclusion of miscellaneous projects related to these brands.

Developmental projects include a joint program for C-MPV, Crossover utility vehicle and building of a platform for the B class segment of vehicles from these brands. The new and innovative CO2 B segment platform to be jointly developed by these brands will benefit Opel/Vauxhall models greatly. Joint venture agreements relating to the purchasing and sale of these vehicles needs to be clarified by PSA Peugeot Citoren and General Motors.

Apart from this, the companies also hope to seize the opportunity and capitalize on the engine market by providing small high-performance gas engines. To help broaden the horizons for a global initiative, the companies want to explore product and industrial opportunities in Latin American countries too.
