Renault India sells 51400 Dusters, 83.1% sales increase in 2013

For the Asia-Pacific Region, operations have taken off in India. Having chartered a progressive path here since 2012, the Asia-Pacific Region recorded total sales increase of 28.9% as compared to 2012 except for Iran where the market was closed in July.

Renault KoleosIn India, the passenger car market slumped 7.5% through 2013. Despite economic slowdown, Renault has held its head high and reported 83.1% sales increase with maximum sales coming from Duster with over 51,400 units sold in through 2013.

Renault Duster has been recognised as the best-selling SUV in the C segment here. The Renault brand recorded market share of 2.6%, which is almost double that of 2012 when the company’s market share here stood at 1.32%. Renault India now has 125 dealerships at the end of 2013. At the end of 2013, India features 12th in Renault Group’s top 15 markets. With the 2014 Delhi Auto expo almost here, the all-new Koleos is on its way.
