In the standard Cupra, the 2.0 liter petrol engine is mated to a manual gearbox while in Cupra 280, an optional DSG transmission, along with manual gearbox is available. Acceleration in Cupra 280 from 0 to 100 kmph is accomplished in 5.7 seconds where manual gearbox is concerned and 5.8 seconds with DSG transmission, while this figure stands at 5.9 seconds in the case of standard Cupra. All three models have the same top speed at 155 mph (250 kmph).
Added performance comes due to a front axle differential lock, CDD dynamic chassis control and progressive steering while Cupra 280 is fitted with high performance braking system with brake calipers.
Interiors Seat Leon Cupra 280 is seen with sports seats upholstered in grey Alcantara with white stitching, aluminum pedals and door sills and a host of infotainment features which include DAB digital radio, Seat Media System Plus. The standard Cupra sits on 18” alloy wheels while the Leon Cupra 280 receives 19” alloy wheels, gloss black mirror housing and black rear roof spoiler. Leon Cupra and Cupra 280 are available to order while first deliveries will commence by March 2014.
