No 25. Maruti S-Cross Diesel – 23.65 KMPL

Launched in August 2015, Maruti S-Cross is soon set to receive a major facelift. Ranking among top fuel efficient cars in the country has made the S-Cross a crowd puller in terms of sales.

Maruti S-Cross comes in with two diesel engine options that include a 1.3 litre DDiS and 1.6 litre DDiS. Both these engines are fuel efficient offering 23.65 kmpl. The 1.3 litre offers 89 bhp power and 200 Nm torque and is mated to a 5 speed manual while the 1.6 litre is capable of 118 bhp power and 320 Nm torque and gets mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.

Price starts from INR 8.38 lakh

On board features differ across variants. Pricing ranges between INR 8.03 lakhs to INR 10.60 lakhs. Offering reasonable competition to Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano, Maruti S-Cross interiors offer added comfort and extensive space.

Features borrowed from SX4 include leather covered steering wheel, gear levers and door arm rests, and a wide range of infotainment features and safety features. These include central locking, driver airbag, front passenger air bag, anti theft security alarm and reverse parking sensors. Maruti S-Cross sits on 16” alloy wheels, commands kerb weight of 1195 kgs and boot space of 353 litres.
