Scania won Prime Mover of the year in ‘the more than 40 tonnes GCW’ segment for their Scania R 500 6×4 heavy-duty puller. The VW Group company is investing Rs 2.5 billion in a Bengaluru industrial facility in 2013.

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a 50-50 jv between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited won twice at the 4th edition Apollo CV India awards in Mumbai. The awards won are CV maker of the year, and Tipper of the year (Premium category) for the Volvo FM 480 10×4 dump truck.
On the growth front, Fiat has already signed agreements with dealers for top 35 cities in India today inaugurated their new Patiala showroom with Sandeep Autos. Earlier, Enrico Atanasio, MD of FIAT Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd had spoken about Fiat opening 70 new dealerships by 2013 March end, and another 30 showrooms across Tier II and Tier III cities before year end.
