Zest sedan from Tata Motors to launch on August 12th 2014

Tata ZestTransmission will be in the form of 5 speed manual for both petrol and diesel Zest sedans. Tata Zest AMT will only be offered in diesel. Bookings were opened earlier and the car is expected at an estimate of Rs 5-8 lakhs (ex sh).

Tata Motors passenger car sales for July 2014 stood at 9,167 units. Compared to 10,824 vehicles sold in July 2013, sales decline as reported at 15.35. Sales of Tata Nano/ Indica/ Indigo range in July 2014 were 6,703 units at a sales decline of 22% over 8,546 vehicles sold in July 2013. Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture range sales were 2,464 units over 2,278 units sold in July 2013, equating to 8% sales growth.

Cumulative passenger vehicles sales in the domestic market for the fiscal are 33,749 units to report 26% sales decline. Cumulative sales of Nano/ Indica/ Indigo range this fiscal are 25,221 units reporting 30% sales decline over last year. Sumo/ Safari/ Aria/ Venture range sales stood at 8,528 nos to mark 8% decline over 9,313 units sold last year.

Tata Motors exports stand at 4,367 units in July 2014 over 4,277 vehicles in July 2013, equating to 2% sales growth. Cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal stand at 14,594 units to report 7% sales decline when compared to 15,712 units sold in the same period in 2013.
