Volvo S60 and Chevrolet Camaro both share the podium when it comes to crash testing. Both these vehicle have been put to a rigorous test by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Till date it was only Chevrolet Camaro that reigned supreme in all categories of testing, it is joined by the 2012 Volvo S60.
The 2012 Volvo S60 winning the stringent crash test put forth by NHTSA shows that the company stands by their commitment and reputation of offering highly safe and sturdy vehicles. Volvo S60 has stood the test of 35 miles per hour frontal collision, 38.5 miles per hour side impact and 20 miles per hour simulation of side crash into a pole with most durability and resilience as compared to any of the other vehicles tested by NHTSA. There are a number of vehicles which have proved to be safe and earned five star ratings for crash tests but it is only the Camaro and S60 that have five stars in every evaluation.
